Dementia Awareness Survey
The national dementia diagnosis rate for England is currently 64.5%, whereas the rate in Rutland is just 52.9% (NHS England, February 2024).
It is so important that we improve our understanding and awareness of symptoms, so we can better support those living with dementia in our communities.
This survey is now closed. Thank you for everyone who took the time to complete it.
In Conversation with John and Nula Suchet - Saturday 20th April - please register your interest below
On Saturday 20th April 2024, John and Nula Suchet will officially launch my campaign to improve dementia diagnosis rates in Rutland.
The event will take place from 12.30-1.30pm at Victoria Hall in Oakham. The talk is open to the public and free to attend.
John and his wife Nula both met through their spouses living in care with dementia, before marrying in 2016. John and Nula are now ambassadors for Alzheimer's Society and will talk about their experiences losing a loved one to dementia.
John Suchet is well-known for his work presenting Classic FM and prior to this as one of the country's most popular television reporters and newscasters.
So that we can ensure there is adequate seating for everyone, I would be grateful if you could register your interest to attend the event using the form below.
