At the General Election we are moving to a new Parliamentary constituency.
Rather than being paired with Melton Mowbray and the Vale, we will be part of a constituency made up of all of Rutland, Stamford, the Stamford villages and the Harborough Villages.
Why the change? The Boundary Commission, an independent and impartial body, reviewed the boundaries of all constituencies to ensure MPs were representing roughly the same number of electors. For example, I currently serve 105,000 constituents whilst some MPs serve just 65,000, despite having the same budget and commitments.
As such, I am standing as the Conservative candidate for Rutland and Stamford and will be hoping to secure your support to continue serving our wonderful communities.
