During Business Questions to the Leader of the House, Alicia Kearns MP called for the Government to commit Budget debate time to protecting farmers and food security.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Stamford, said:
"Our farmers have faced an appallingly wet few months, yet they are still waiting to receive the full Farm Recovery Fund and the Internal Drainage Board funds from the Government.
"During Business Questions I raised the urgent need for the release of these important funds, and also called on the Government to commit one day of the Budget debate to food security and protecting our farmers."
