Support and Connections runs a day service for adults with disabilities in Melton and have applied for a new centre in Oakham which is been rejected by Rutland County Council.
Alicia Kearns MP is calling for the Council to re-consider their decision.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Stamford, said:
"On Friday we had the disappointing news Rutland County Council had rejected their planning application to turn a unit at Tungsten Park into a new day centre. Despite the new service it would provide for disabled people in our communities, and the new jobs it would bring.
"This wonderful project is exactly the sort of initiative we need in our county, giving adults with additional needs in Rutland and beyond a choice of provision to access support to become more independent and confident.
"I will be asking the Council to re-think their decision. We are very fortunate to attract such an excellent provider to Rutland and we should be giving their centre our absolute and full support."
