Rutland and Melton MP, Alicia Kearns, received the Prime Minister’s support for two new GP practices on Wednesday.
Following her election campaign commitment to establish new GP surgeries in both Melton Mowbray and Oakham, Alicia Kearns has today gained the Prime Minister’s assurance of support for this development.
In Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday, Rutland and Melton’s MP invited Mr Johnson to visit her constituency and back the two new GP surgeries, to which he responded, “yes and yes”.
Rutland and Melton’s MP, Alicia Kearns, said:
“I welcome the Prime Minister’s support for new GP services in Oakham and Melton which will massively improve access to local health services.
“We should all be able to rely on health services close to home to keep our communities healthy, and Boris’ backing will help make this a reality for the residents of Melton and Oakham.”
Alicia Kearns continues to work with local stakeholders to deliver on these commitments.
