Alicia Kearns MP has given her first speech in Parliament during the King's Speech Debate since being elected as the Member of Parliament for Rutland and Stamford.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Stamford, said:
"Yesterday I gave my first speech since having the honour of being elected as your Member of Parliament for Rutland and Stamford.
"It was a privilege to briefly reflect on the wonderful new communities I am lucky to serve, and also raced through just some of my priorities to deliver on what matters most to us all, including:
- Protecting our Rural Way of Life
- Fighting the Mallard Pass Solar Plant proposal and protecting our agricultural land
- Ending Uyghur slave labour in solar supply chains
- Fighting Labour’s intention to charge VAT on independent schools
"I will continue to always put my heart into representing you."
