Alicia Kearns MP recently met with Rob Nixon, the Chief Constable of Leicestershire and Rutland Police, to discuss local policing priorities.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Melton, said:
"Our local police do an incredible job, going above and beyond to keep our communities safe.
"We covered everything from rural crime, policing presence in villages and speeding to county lines, hare coursing, livestock worrying, and national legislation.
"Earlier this year Leicestershire Police exceeded the Government's recruitment target, with an increase of 340 officers since 2019. This means that we now have the highest number of Police Officers ever in England!"
