Rutland and Melton MP Alicia Kearns has received the Government's support for her campaign to ensure NHS Trusts across the country permit pregnant women to have a partner or family member present for scans and all stages of labour.
Despite Government guidance permitting partners to attend both scans and the entirety of labour, many trusts around the country are asking expectant mothers to attend important appointments and go through the early stages of labour alone.
