Alicia Kearns MP is supporting Clipsham Yew Tree Avenue Trust's bid for National Lottery Heritage funding.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Stamford, said:
"I’m delighted to support Clipsham Yew Tree Avenue Trust’s bid to maintain this wonderful avenue for future generations.
"The unique Avenue is over 200 years old and consists of 150 yew trees all clipped in a fascinating variety of unusual shapes!
"The team has undertaken a brilliant restoration project to bring the Avenue back to life, however longer-term funding is needed to continue the restoration and preserve the heritage of the site for our communities to benefit from in years to come.
"Do go and visit if you haven’t been before – I enjoyed a lovely walk down the Avenue last week!"
