Alicia Kearns MP visited local distillery, Cap and Copper to learn more about the production process behind their successful rums and gins.
The business was founded by Simon Brannon from Whissendine, who used his years of distilling experience to create these award-winning spirits all crafted and distilled in Rutland.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Melton, said:
"It was a pleasure to visit Cap and Copper distillery to hear more about the process behind their wonderful spirits.
"There's no surprise that their Original Spiced Rum and wonderfully unique Cocoa and Dark Chocolate Spiced Rum were recently recognised with the Great Taste awards - do give them a try!"
