Alicia Kearns MP met with founders of Cidentro Cider House, Hiranthi and Matthew. for a tour of their 540-tree cider orchard in Twyford, and to learn more about the production of this local cider. They also discussed the challenges that come with a newly established business and plans for the future of Cidentro.
Cidentro’s unique cider is created using 100% press juice from English cider apples which are left to mature for at least six months.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Melton said:
“I was honoured to be Cidentro’s first official visitor in 2021, so it was wonderful to return two years later and see the the incredible progress they’ve made since!
“Cidentro’s delicious cider has already been recognised internationally with multiple awards, putting Melton on the map as a destination for cider lovers from across the country.
“If you haven’t already, do give their cider a try and don’t just take my word for it - there’s no surprises it’s so popular locally!”
Alicia first visited Cidentro in September 2021 when their cider house was still under construction.
Cidentro was also one of the local producers who attended Alicia’s ‘A Taste of Rutland and Melton Event’ in Parliament in December.
