Alicia Kearns MP visited Coles Nurseries and their Retail Plant Centre, alongside David Lydiat from the Horticultural Trades Association.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Stamford, said:
"It’s quite incredible the businesses we have locally who work nationwide and are leaders in their industries.
"It was good to visit Coles Nurseries to meet Managing Director James Coles and the team for a tour of the site.
"We discussed the impact of the budget on local businesses and the increased costs employers will face as a result of Labour’s increases to National Insurance contributions.
"We also discussed ways to make trade easier, and I will take up their priorities with government to help resolve friction they’re facing."
