Alicia Kearns MP visited Rutland Plastics in Oakham to learn more about their award-winning plastic injection moulding.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Stamford, said:
"It was great to meet the owners of Rutland Plastics, Caroline and Stuart, to learn more about their award-winning plastic injection moulding company in Oakham. They make products for the NHS through to electric vehicle charging stations and during the pandemic they were just incredible in producing tens of thousands of free face visors which we then delivered across the country.
"I also met with one of their customers, Loftzone, who make a really innovative product for your loft insulation – do check them out as insulation is really important.
"Serving over 300 customers and providing employment for 150 people in our communities, we are very fortunate to be home to this incredible manufacturer in Rutland. Indeed, we may have the highest number of people working in plastics in the country in our small county as there are three other companies in Rutland too!"
