I was privileged to visit Rutland’s exceptional vaccination centre recently to thank its many clinicians, volunteers, Rutland Primary Care Network and Rutland County Council.
Rutland and Melton has some of the best vaccination uptake rates in the country, with close to 80 per cent of people having received at least one dose already.
It was great to see everyone getting their second Pfizer dose, and some very good news today is that over 10 million second vaccine doses have been administered nationwide.
Clinicians, volunteers, the Council, delivery drivers and many more people from across the County have made this success possible, and I am very grateful to everyone for all their efforts.
