Good News: The Prime Minister has announced we will now aim to offer a vaccine jab to every adult by the end of July, helping us protect the most vulnerable sooner, and take further steps to ease some of the restrictions in place.

"This is a fantastic target for the defeat of the virus. It is absolutely vital that we recover as a nation and the vaccine programme gives us our route out. But as the Prime Minister said, 'there should be no doubt - the route out of lockdown will be cautious and phased, as we all continue to protect ourselves and those around us.' I am very grateful to everyone locally for getting vaccinated, we have the highest uptake rate in the country, this means we will have better protected communities. We must re-open our economy as soon as possible, rebuild our industries and allow our communities to come back together again."
