All our care homes in Rutland have now received their first vaccination - a fantastic achievement by our local clinicians, volunteers, Council, CCG and the national vaccination programme.
For every 20 residents of a care home vaccinated, a life is saved, and this important effort was achieved in less than six days by our Primary Care Network and has been delivered well ahead of the national target of 24th January.
I believe Rutland is the first County to complete its vaccinations of care home residents. The majority of care home staff have also been vaccinated, and by the end of next week we expect all care home staff to have been offered a first vaccination.
