The Planning Inspectorate's Examination of the Mallard Pass solar plant application has now concluded after 6 months. I have submitted my Closing Summary Statement to the Planning Inspectorate setting out why I believe Mallard Pass should not be allowed to go ahead. You can read the full statement below.
Thank you to everyone who registered to share their views and ensure the strength of opposition in our communities was heard - over 1,200 people registered! Thank you also in particular to all the team at Mallard Pass Action Group whose guidance has proved invaluable though a complicated planning process.
The Planning Inspectorate now has three months to draw on all of the evidence and views submitted during the Examination, before producing a final report for the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero. Until then, I will continue to do all I can to impress upon the Government why we cannot allow this heinous development to go ahead.
