Merry Christmas to everyone in Rutland, Melton, the Vale and the Harborough villages.
We are blessed to live in wonderful communities, and our appreciation for the people around us and of our stunning towns and countryside is ever more apparent after the challenges we’ve faced.
Our nation has a great many people to thank, and I send my heartfelt thanks to all those who have worked tirelessly to support our country and residents locally this year. Especially our local Rutland and Melton Unsung Heroes and all those working over the festive period to keep us safe.
Most of us will not be celebrating Christmas as we might have hoped due to the stark and heart-breaking situation caused by the mutation of the virus. But I hope over the festive period you are able to find comfort with friends or loved ones, and take solace that there is not only hope for, but a way forward to, better times ahead. I very much hope to see more of you all in 2021.
Sending my very best to you and to yours!
