Oakham Enterprise Park has been named as a potential site for Rutland's First MRI Scanning Unit, the first in the county.

"Working together, Rutland County Council, Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Patient Care Locally, the Integrated Care Board and I hope we have secured a much-needed MRI unit for our communities, and I am so pleased that Oakham Enterprise Park has now been identified as the likely location.
"If these plans are approved, this would significantly help improve diagnostic services locally, reduce waiting time for scans and cut down the travel times to Leicester and Peterborough to access MRI scans. It has been a priority for me and RCC over the last few months.
"We currently have no MRI facility within the county, so this is a really exciting step forward for our communities, and I will continue to update you all as we make further progress towards securing this vital equipment!"
