38,600 homes and business across Leicestershire, Rutland, and Warwickshire will receive lightning-fast broadband as part of Project Gigabit.
Thanks to a £71.5 million investment from the Government, even more homes and businesses are set to benefit from Project Gigabit, connecting hard-to-reach rural communities,
As the map shows, the Government is substantially improving broadband access for communities in East and North Rutland, Stamford, and in the Vale.
Orange: premises in initial scope for this investment, meaning they will be connected via the Project Gigabit contract for Leicestershire and Warwickshire.
Blue: premises in deferred scope, meaning that the Government market reviews have indicated that these premises are likely to be included in suppliers’ future commercial plans.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Melton, said:
"A few years ago, I was very pleased to secure the first giga-upgrades from the Government for 12,000 homes in Rutland."
