Following reports concerning the operation of three Chinese Communist Party police stations operating in the UK, Alicia Kearns MP secured an Urgent Question on the matter.
Alicia Kearns, MP for Rutland and Melton said:
"In my role as chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee today I secured a UQ following recent shocking reports suggesting Chinese police stations on UK soil are being used to hunt down dissidents and alleged Chinese criminals. The legal status of these organisations, which the Chinese Government has admitted exist, are a threat to the Hong Kongers and others who have sought refuge in our country, and now face the long arm of the Chinese Communist Party seeking to intimidate them. I welcome the investigation tasked on this matter and look forward to hearing the results in due course."
