Today is Armed Forces Day, a chance to celebrate and show our support for the all the Armed Forces community living in Rutland, Melton, the Vale and Harborough villages.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Melton said:
"From currently serving troops to Service families, veterans, and cadets – thank you for your incredible bravery and the sacrifices you make on a daily basis to protect our country.
"I have had the privilege over the past year to be invited on the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme, learning more about their training, operations they’re deployed on, and how MPs can support them and their loved ones.
"This week I’m sure everyone will join me in showing their support and appreciation for our incredible Armed forces, and also their families who provide support behind the scenes as they keep us safe.
"To our local units based at Kendrew Barracks, St George’s Barracks and Remount Barracks, thank you."
