Alicia Kearns MP visited Melton Vale Sixth Form College to meet with the Sixth Form's Head, Nikki Dartnell, and meet some of the pupils who are taking part in the College's integration programme.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Melton, said:
"It was a pleasure to visit Melton Vale Sixth Form College last week and meet the brilliant new Headteacher here, Nicki Dartnell.
"Nicki only joined in April, but she has already used her 17-years of experience to build on this fantastic sixth form college, which was rated as ‘outstanding’ by Oftsed earlier this year.
"I loved listening to the students’ weekly open mic session, with students singing Coldplay and a playing a huge variety of instruments - it was a joy to see such wonderful talent and so many students supporting their friends!"
