Alicia Kearns MP has announced the launch of a new Rutland Disability Forum to take place on 28th June 2024.
Alicia announced the forum in a question to the Minister for Disabled People, Health and Work, Mims Davies MP, during the Disability Action Plan Statement on Monday 5th February. Alicia hopes the Minister will attend given her response where she offered to visit if she can to hear from Rutland residents about what they would like to gain from the Government’s new Disability Action Plan.
Alicia will hold the forum to bring together people living with disabilities, their families, carers and community groups. The discussion aims to identify what support is needed in Rutland for education up to the age of 19, respite and carer support, supported living, health and care needs and employment.
Invitations to the forum will be sent out in due course.
