During the Parliamentary debate on Kim Leadbeater's Assisted Dying Private Member's Bill, Alicia Kearns MP gave a speech on why she will be supporting the Bill.
Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Stamford, said:
"Today I spoke in the debate on Assisted Dying. I welcome the bill passing its second reading. It will now proceed through many more months (or longer) of scrutiny in both Houses.
"Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me from both sides of the debate to share your own personal stories. I will do all I can to make this the very best possible legislation with the necessary safeguards, that will allow the terminally ill to shorten their suffering."
