Rutland MP Alicia Kearns has welcomed the allocation of £205,700 in grants between two local organisations from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund for Heritage.
The funding is part of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport’s (DCMS) £1.57 billion rescue package to safeguard cultural and heritage organisations across the UK from the economic impact of COVID-19.
Oakham’s Change Agents UK have been awarded £73,600 which will go towards raising awareness of sustainable development Goals and protecting local heritage.
Rutland County Council has also received a grant, worth £132,000 to support growth and jobs in Rutland.
