Today is World Stroke Day, and it's an opportunity to raise awareness of the signs of this disease which is the third biggest killer in the UK.
I lost my father from a stroke, he'd had a series of mini strokes which his doctor failed to diagnose, and died of a catastrophic stroke which took him from me at the age of 56.
It was preventable. He didn't need to die.
