Today the Government has announced £1,165,000 to support individuals and children who need access to life-saving support such as therapy, advocacy and counselling in safe accommodation, including refuges in Leicestershire and Rutland.
As part of our new Domestic Abuse Bill we’ve placed a new duty on Councils to ensure victims and their children are able to access life-saving support in safe accommodation, and this funding will support this.
