Documents from Rutland County Council show they are planning to cut our black bin collections, and reduce them from every two weeks, to every three weeks.
Rutland Conservatives need your help to save our fortnightly bin collections.
The Council’s consideration of proposals to move to a three-weekly black bin collection would be extremely inconvenient for Rutlanders, who already pay the highest rate of council tax nationally, leaving us with rubbish heaped up in our homes for just short of a month.
As your MP I’ve written to the Government to ask for additional funds to support the Council, but this is the wrong cut to make and it would be extraordinary to move to a three week collection of residual waste such as nappies and sanitary products.
Please do encourage your friends, family and neighbours to sign my petition calling on the Council to reconsider changes to our bin collection.
